He Built A Telescope From Scratch, Then Captured Images That Are Shockingly Good

Space is a fascinating and mysterious place. Even though we are always learning more and more about it, there is still so much that is unknown.
The unknown is partially what first drew 18-year-old Australian Jonah Scott to space. He wanted to try to capture the beauty and mystery of the universe through photography. He works as an apprentice engine builder, but in his spare time, he builds telescopes and takes breathtaking photos of our galaxy. When you see what he can do, you'll understand what exactly drew him to the craft.

Here's Scott standing with one of his homemade telescopes.

He has captured photos of distant galaxies, planets, and stars.

He's even captured rare comets!

Photographers like Scott help us all appreciate how beautiful and vast our universe really is.
