Shadowboxing is an exercise where fighters prepare for an upcoming bout by literally punching air. This is often a good training regimen for athletes who are about to step in the ring against an opponent.
It's also apparently used by adorable puppies who witness their shadow for the first time ever. This is at least what happened to one adorable dog as it tried to fight a mysterious shadow that just wouldn't leave him alone.
