One neighborhood in Waco, Texas, is locking up their cats after a rash of pet disappearances were traced to one of its residents. It turns out that an 85-year old woman in the neighborhood had been capturing cats to for an unspeakably horrible, and gruesome purpose.
Residents say when they started noticing that some of their pet cats were disappearing they were perplexed. Imgur Around the same time people started to notice the increasingly fancy fur coats that one old neighbor had started wearing.
That's when one neighbor put a private detective on the case. The detective managed to catch the old woman in the act of luring neighborhood cats into her basement. Investigators found that she was using cat meat to lure them there.
When confronted about her activities, the old woman vehemently denied everything. At least until she was shown the video evidence against her.
That's when she admitted in court to her activities. The old woman is expected to serve at least 18 months in jail for her cat killing crimes.

It's estimated that she needed about 20 cats to make just one of her fur coats. Needless to say, 18 months doesn't seem like a very heavy sentence for such a crazy, and terrible crime.
