Σκεφτείτε την τελευταία φορά που πήγατε στο σινεμά. Ακόμα κι αν έχετε δει μια ταινία για τη δουλεία ή για οδηγούς φορτηγών οχημάτων, αν δεν ήταν ένα ντοκιμαντέρ, οι πιθανότητες είναι ότι ήταν γεμάτο με οπτικά εφέ. 
Το Hollywood έχει τελειοποιήσει την τέχνη του CGI, όπου δεν θα συνειδητοποιήσετε καν ότι αυτό που βλέπετε είναι τελείως ψεύτικο.
Χάρη στα οπτικά εφέ του στούντιο της Industrial Light & Magic, Framestore, Sony Pictures Imageworks, και Rhythm & αποχρώσεις σε συνδυασμό με οπτικά εφέ και την εταιρεία λογισμικού Imagineer Systems, ήμαστε σε θέση να δούμε πως μοιάζουν οι ταινίες  χωρίς την "μαγεία".
