Streets Flooded in Greece

Torrential rainfall has caused flooding and disruption in Catania on the Italian island of Sicily, turning downtown streets into rivers, which dragged parked cars, motorcycles, chairs and tables.  
In Athens on Friday, hours of heavy rainfall also caused extensive flooding, inundating basements and forcing authorities to close major roads and a central metro station.
